How to choose the right hygrometer: part 3

as already seen in parts 1 and 2, the choice of the right measuring instrument is very important for achieving the best humidity measurement results.
Calibration times and traceability standards should also be regularly maintained. Products manufactured in cleanrooms or in laboratories, production facilities, warehouses...cover a wide range, including pharmaceuticals, semi-conductors and food products....

Humidity and temperature are often controlled, as these parameters can have serious effects on product quality and production efficiency.

Humidity and dew point technologies

Linking humidity and dew point

Humidity sensors, which measure the water content in air, are broadly divided into two types.

One measures humidity and the other dew point.

In an atmosphere where the humidity level is above 10% relative humidity, the latter is often used, while at low humidity, dew point measurement is preferred.

In some cases, it is convenient to use dew point measurement, even in high humidity conditions.

Humidity and dew point sensors include:
1. Psychrometers
2. Mechanical hygrometers
3. Lithium chloride dew point indicators
4. Resistive hygrometers
5. Hygrometers with capacitive sensors, the most widespread on the market!
6. Dew point mirror hygrometers
