DESCRIPTION

A universal Awmeter

Highly versatile, the 4TEV can measure volatile compound samples containing propylene glycol, ethanol and other complicated materials.

Use

Place a 7.5 ml sample of product in a disposable cup, seal the sample chamber lid, and wait for vapor equilibrium. For non-volatile samples, an infrared beam focused on a small mirror determines the sample's precise dew point temperature. The dew point temperature is then translated into water activity. For samples containing volatile substances, a hygroscopic polymer sensor detects the equilibrium relative humidity of the air in the headspace above the sample. This method is slightly less accurate than the dew point method (± 0.015).

The 4TEV comes with a standard Series 4 dew point sensor. It is:
