DESCRIPTION

Robust and water resistant:

The HI9147 is a rugged, water-resistant dissolved oxygen (DO) meter designed for aquaculture applications. The meter and probe utilize galvanic sensor technology, where the potential difference between the electrodes drives the reaction, requiring no external voltage. Oxygen diffuses through the membrane, and the system establishes a current proportional to the dissolved oxygen concentration present. The HI9147 includes a galvanic probe with replaceable high-density polyethylene (HDPE) membrane caps and a protective shield. Salinity compensation allows dissolved oxygen to be determined even in salt water.

Replaceable membrane caps and galvanic measuring system:

The pre-stressed high-density polyethylene (HDPE) membranes use a screw cap design that can be quickly changed by simply filling with HI7042 electrolyte filling solution and screwing onto the DO probe. The oximeter uses galvanic sensor technology where the potential difference between the electrodes drives the reaction, requiring no external voltage. The probe consists of a silver cathode and a zinc anode in an electrolyte solution held in place on the electrode surface by a polymer membrane. Oxygen diffuses through the membrane, and the system establishes a current proportional to the dissolved oxygen concentration present. All readings are automatically compensated for temperature variations with a high-precision, integrated linearized thermistor temperature sensor behind a stainless steel cover.
