DESCRIPTION

    USP <645> :

    The HI98197 can be used to perform all three steps of the USP <645> method required for measuring EC in ultra-pure water and generates a report when any of the three steps is completed.

    Four-ring probe:

    The HI98197 comes with a specialized four-ring HI763123 conductivity probe that not only provides 0.001 μS/cm resolution measurements but also features threaded ends for insertion into the HI605453 AISI 316 stainless steel flow cell. The HI763123 includes an integrated temperature sensor and an adjustable temperature coefficient for accurate readings across the full range with a single sensor. The four-ring technology also eliminates the polarization effect common to standard two-pole probes. The HI763123 conductivity probe connects to the meter via a single waterproof DIN quick-connect, allowing easy installation without threaded fittings and effortless removal.

    Measurement ranges:

    The HI98197 features an extended conductivity range from 0.000 μS/cm to 1000 mS/cm actual conductivity (400 mS/cm temperature-compensated). It also includes ranges for TDS, resistivity, and three salinity scales. This meter automatically recognizes the probe type (two- or four-ring) and allows the user to adjust the nominal cell constant.

    Recording:

    The on-demand recording mode allows the user to log and save up to 400 readings, while batch recording at selected intervals can store up to 1,000 readings. This data can then be transferred to a PC using Hanna’s HI920015 micro USB cable and HI92000 software.
